2027 Horoscope by Rising Sign: All 12 Signs, House by House

Your 2027 horoscope for all 12 Rising signs: which life areas Saturn, Neptune, Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto and the Leo-Aquarius eclipses activate for you this year.

Mystic Birth Chart Editorial StudioUpdated Published

Most yearly horoscopes are written for Sun signs. They can be fun, but they often feel vague, because your Sun sign alone cannot tell you where in your life a transit will land. Your Rising sign can.

This 2027 horoscope is organized by Rising sign. For each of the twelve, you will find which houses (areas of life) the year's major planets move through, what those areas mean in everyday terms, and one practical focus for the year. It is still a general forecast, but it is built the way traditional astrologers have read the sky for centuries: from the Rising sign outward.

Why the Rising sign is the best way to read a horoscope

Your Rising sign, also called the Ascendant, is the zodiac sign that was rising on the eastern horizon at the moment you were born. It changes roughly every two hours, which is why you need your birth time to know it. If you do not know yours yet, the free birth chart will calculate it in about a minute, along with your Sun and Moon, with no email required.

The Rising sign matters because it sets up the houses of your chart. Houses are the twelve areas of life astrology works with: self, money, communication, home, creativity, daily work, partnership, shared resources, travel and study, career, friends, and the hidden or private side of life.

In whole-sign houses, the oldest house system and the one used here, the counting is simple. Your entire Rising sign is your first house. The next sign in zodiac order is your second house, the one after that your third, and so on around the circle. For example, if you are Gemini Rising, Gemini is your 1st house, Cancer your 2nd, Leo your 3rd, Virgo your 4th, and so on until Aries, your 11th, and Taurus, your 12th.

That is why one transit can mean completely different things for different people. Saturn in Aries is a career theme for Cancer Rising and a home theme for Capricorn Rising. To learn more about how Rising signs and houses work together, see what is my Rising sign and houses in astrology.

The sky of 2027 in five pieces

Here is what moves through the zodiac this year. Dates come from calculated positions in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), so an event can fall one calendar day earlier or later where you live.

  • Saturn and Neptune in Aries all year. Saturn moves from about 8° to almost 28° Aries, stationing retrograde on August 9 and direct on December 24. Neptune stays in the first few degrees of the sign. Saturn asks for structure and patience; Neptune brings ideals and imagination.
  • Jupiter in Leo, then Virgo. Jupiter is in Leo until July 26, 2027, then in Virgo for the rest of the year. Jupiter expands whatever it touches.
  • Uranus in Gemini all year. Uranus brings change, surprise and new ideas.
  • Pluto in Aquarius all year. Pluto works slowly and deeply, on power and transformation.
  • The Leo-Aquarius eclipse axis. Eclipses fall near the lunar nodes, the points where the Moon's path crosses the Sun's path. In 2027 the North Node is in Aquarius and the South Node in Leo, so this pair of signs, the eclipse axis, is where the year's main eclipses land: an annular solar eclipse on February 6 at 17°37′ Aquarius, a total solar eclipse on August 2 at 9°55′ Leo, and a penumbral lunar eclipse on August 17 at 24°04′ Aquarius.

Two other events matter for several Rising signs: Mars is retrograde (appearing to move backward) from January 10 to April 1, moving from Virgo back into Leo, and Mercury turns retrograde three times. Those are covered in Mars retrograde 2027 in Virgo and Leo and Mercury retrograde 2027 dates. For the full year at a glance, read astrology 2027: major transits.

Aries Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 1st house (self, body, direction, how you begin things).
  • Jupiter: your 5th house in Leo (creativity, romance, children, pleasure), then your 6th house in Virgo from late July (daily work, routines, health habits).
  • Uranus: your 3rd house (communication, learning, siblings, local travel).
  • Pluto: your 11th house (friends, groups, long-term hopes).
  • Eclipses: your 5th and 11th houses, personal joy versus group life.

Saturn crossing your first house is a year of becoming more deliberate about who you are and how you spend your energy. It can feel heavier at times, but it is also a strong year for building a version of yourself that lasts. Your chart ruler, Mars, is retrograde from January to April through your 6th and 5th houses, so the first quarter favors reviewing work habits and creative projects rather than forcing new starts.

Practical focus: pick one personal commitment, such as a training plan or skill, and keep it steady all year rather than starting five.

Taurus Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 12th house (solitude, rest, behind-the-scenes work, private worries).
  • Jupiter: your 4th house in Leo (home, family, roots), then your 5th house in Virgo (creativity, romance, joy).
  • Uranus: your 2nd house (income, possessions, what you value).
  • Pluto: your 10th house (career, reputation, public role).
  • Eclipses: your 4th and 10th houses, home versus career.

The 12th house is the quiet room of the chart. Saturn here asks you to organize the unseen parts of life: rest, recovery, private projects, and the worries you carry alone. It is a year where good support systems matter more than heroic effort. Meanwhile Jupiter warms up home life in the first half of the year and then turns toward pleasure and creativity.

Practical focus: give your private life a structure, a regular retreat, a journal or a protected work block, so that what grows in quiet has room to mature.

Gemini Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 11th house (friends, groups, networks, hopes).
  • Jupiter: your 3rd house in Leo (communication, learning, neighbors, siblings), then your 4th house in Virgo (home, family, roots).
  • Uranus: your 1st house (self, body, appearance, direction).
  • Pluto: your 9th house (travel, higher learning, beliefs, publishing).
  • Eclipses: your 3rd and 9th houses, everyday learning versus big-picture belief.

Uranus in your first house keeps you open to reinvention, and Saturn in your 11th asks which friendships and groups truly support who you are becoming. Mercury, your chart ruler, turns retrograde three times, and one of those retrogrades (June 10 to July 4) slips back into Gemini itself, making early summer a natural point for rethinking personal plans.

Practical focus: audit your circles. Invest in two or three relationships or communities that match your direction and let the rest loosen without drama.

Cancer Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 10th house (career, reputation, public role).
  • Jupiter: your 2nd house in Leo (money, possessions, self-worth), then your 3rd house in Virgo (communication, learning, local life).
  • Uranus: your 12th house (solitude, rest, the hidden side of life).
  • Pluto: your 8th house (shared money, debts, trust, deep change).
  • Eclipses: your 2nd and 8th houses, your own resources versus shared ones.

Saturn in your 10th house is a serious career transit: more responsibility, more visibility for the quality of your work, and a stronger sense of what you want to be known for. Neptune in the same house can blur the picture at times, so write down goals and check them against facts. Your chart ruler is the Moon, which makes the eclipses especially personal for you.

Practical focus: define one professional goal for 2027 in concrete terms (a role, a portfolio, a credential) and build toward it month by month.

Leo Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 9th house (travel, study, beliefs, publishing).
  • Jupiter: your 1st house in Leo (self, body, confidence), then your 2nd house in Virgo (income, possessions, self-worth).
  • Uranus: your 11th house (friends, groups, networks).
  • Pluto: your 7th house (partners, close relationships, clients).
  • Eclipses: your 1st and 7th houses, self versus partnership.

This is a significant year for you. Jupiter starts the year in your first house, supporting confidence and visibility, then moves into your money house in late July. The total solar eclipse of August 2 falls in your first house, and your chart ruler is the Sun, so the eclipse speaks directly to your sense of self and direction. Eclipses in the 1st and 7th houses often bring the balance between your own needs and your partners' needs into focus.

Practical focus: use the first half of the year to clarify what you want to stand for, then use the second half to give it a practical, earning shape. Read more in the total solar eclipse of August 2, 2027.

Virgo Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 8th house (shared money, debts, trust, deep change).
  • Jupiter: your 12th house in Leo (rest, solitude, behind-the-scenes work), then your 1st house in Virgo (self, body, new beginnings).
  • Uranus: your 10th house (career, reputation).
  • Pluto: your 6th house (daily work, routines, health habits).
  • Eclipses: your 6th and 12th houses, daily routines versus rest and retreat.

Jupiter entering your own sign on July 26 is the headline: a fresh twelve-year cycle of personal growth begins. In traditional astrology Jupiter is in detriment in Virgo, which means its gifts come through practical effort rather than luck. Before that, Jupiter in your 12th favors preparation, rest and quiet groundwork. Saturn in your 8th asks for clear agreements around shared money, debts and trust. Mercury, your chart ruler, has three retrogrades this year, good times to review rather than to sign in a hurry.

Practical focus: prepare quietly in the first half of the year, then launch something personal in the second half. See Jupiter in Virgo 2027-2028.

Libra Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 7th house (partners, close relationships, clients, open rivals).
  • Jupiter: your 11th house in Leo (friends, groups, hopes), then your 12th house in Virgo (rest, solitude, inner work).
  • Uranus: your 9th house (travel, study, beliefs).
  • Pluto: your 5th house (creativity, romance, children, pleasure).
  • Eclipses: your 5th and 11th houses, personal joy versus group life.

Saturn in your 7th house puts relationships under a clear light. Partnerships, business agreements and close commitments are tested for fairness and durability. Some get stronger and more defined; others need new terms. Neptune here asks you to see people as they are, not as you hope they are. Jupiter supports friendships and groups early in the year, then turns inward.

Practical focus: have the honest conversation about expectations, in love or in business, that makes a relationship sturdier rather than vaguer.

Scorpio Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 6th house (daily work, routines, health habits, service).
  • Jupiter: your 10th house in Leo (career, reputation, public role), then your 11th house in Virgo (friends, groups, networks).
  • Uranus: your 8th house (shared money, trust, deep change).
  • Pluto: your 4th house (home, family, roots).
  • Eclipses: your 4th and 10th houses, home versus career.

Jupiter in your 10th house for the first seven months is one of the more encouraging career signatures of the year, especially combined with eclipses on your home-career axis. Saturn in your 6th asks you to build routines and workloads you can sustain. Your traditional chart ruler, Mars, is retrograde from January to April through your 11th and 10th houses, so early-year career moves benefit from review and patience before action. Anything related to your health belongs with qualified professionals; astrology can only point to where attention is useful.

Practical focus: redesign one daily routine so that your work rhythm can carry the career growth Jupiter supports.

Sagittarius Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 5th house (creativity, romance, children, pleasure).
  • Jupiter: your 9th house in Leo (travel, study, beliefs, publishing), then your 10th house in Virgo (career, reputation).
  • Uranus: your 7th house (partners, close relationships).
  • Pluto: your 3rd house (communication, learning, local life).
  • Eclipses: your 3rd and 9th houses, daily learning versus big-picture belief.

Jupiter is your chart ruler, so its move from your 9th house into your 10th on July 26 sets the rhythm of your year. The first half favors study, travel, teaching or publishing. The second half turns that knowledge toward career and public standing. Saturn in your 5th asks for commitment to creative work, children or romance; play still matters, but it wants form.

Practical focus: finish one course, project or piece of writing in the first half of the year so you have something concrete to bring into your career in the second half.

Capricorn Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 4th house (home, family, roots, property).
  • Jupiter: your 8th house in Leo (shared money, debts, trust), then your 9th house in Virgo (travel, study, beliefs).
  • Uranus: your 6th house (daily work, routines, health habits).
  • Pluto: your 2nd house (income, possessions, values).
  • Eclipses: your 2nd and 8th houses, your own resources versus shared ones.

Saturn is your chart ruler, and it spends the whole year in your 4th house. Home, family, living situation and your sense of foundation are where the main work happens: repairs, responsibilities, moves or simply a deeper commitment to the place you live. Jupiter supports shared finances in the first half of the year and then opens horizons through travel or study.

Practical focus: strengthen your foundation in a concrete way, whether that is a home project, a family agreement or a clearer budget for where you live. More context is in Saturn in Aries 2027.

Aquarius Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 3rd house (communication, learning, siblings, local travel).
  • Jupiter: your 7th house in Leo (partners, close relationships), then your 8th house in Virgo (shared money, trust, deep change).
  • Uranus: your 5th house (creativity, romance, children, pleasure).
  • Pluto: your 1st house (self, body, direction).
  • Eclipses: your 1st and 7th houses, self versus partnership.

Pluto continues its long journey through your first house, slowly reshaping how you see yourself. The February 6 solar eclipse in Aquarius lands in that same house, a strong marker for a new personal chapter. Your traditional chart ruler, Saturn, is in your 3rd house, so disciplined learning, writing and clear communication are your tools this year. Jupiter favors partnerships in the first seven months.

Practical focus: commit to one form of steady communication, a course, a newsletter, a regular conversation, and treat it as a craft.

Pisces Rising

  • Saturn and Neptune: your 2nd house (income, possessions, self-worth).
  • Jupiter: your 6th house in Leo (daily work, routines, health habits), then your 7th house in Virgo (partners, close relationships).
  • Uranus: your 4th house (home, family, roots).
  • Pluto: your 12th house (rest, solitude, the hidden side of life).
  • Eclipses: your 6th and 12th houses, daily routines versus rest and retreat.

Saturn and Neptune in your 2nd house put money and values at the center. Saturn favors budgets, steady income and realistic pricing; Neptune asks you to check numbers carefully and not to let hope replace a plan. This is not financial advice; it is a signal to give money matters clear attention. Your traditional chart ruler, Jupiter, moves from your 6th house into your 7th on July 26, shifting focus from work routines to partnerships.

Practical focus: build one simple money system you can actually follow every month, and review it with someone you trust.

Do not know your Rising sign?

If you do not know your birth time, you can read this horoscope for your Sun sign instead. Astrologers call this using "solar houses." It is a rougher approximation, because the houses in your real chart may start in a different sign, but it can still point you toward useful themes. If you know your birth time only roughly, the birth time unknown guide explains what can and cannot be read.

Reading both your Rising sign and your Sun sign is also useful. Where the two readings agree, the theme is usually stronger.

From a general horoscope to your own year

A Rising sign horoscope tells you which areas of life the year's planets move through. It cannot tell you which of your own planets they touch, how strong each planet is in your chart, or which planet leads your year. Traditional astrologers answer that last question with annual profections, which name a "lord of the year" for each birthday, and many add a solar return chart.

If you would like that full picture, the 2027 Year Ahead Guide is a personal guide of more than 50 pages built from your own birth chart. It calculates your transits, secondary progressions and solar arc directions month by month and lists your key dates. The calculations are exact, and the interpretation is written from those calculated facts.

If you would like to understand your natal chart itself first, the Essential Birth Chart Reading reads it as a whole: Rising sign, chart ruler, Sun, Moon and the patterns that connect them.

A horoscope describes the season, not the outcome. Whatever houses 2027 lights up for you, the choices inside them remain yours.
